It’s time for a very short break in proceedings as we come to the first Long Weekend of term. So, we’re passed Blue Monday now and the end of January is about a week away so we are definitely moving away from a time that can often be considered as somewhat lacking in cheer.
None of that at King’s Hall, of course, and last week there were two occasions when I was berated by parents for their children (or grandchild in one case) being happy: “school isn’t supposed to be fun” they kidded. Plenty more activity, fun, endeavour, challenge and experiences to read about in this week’s Newsletter as well as a reminder about the Friends of King’s Hall Quiz ahead where the adults can have an activity for their own fun, endeavour, challenge and experience! Do book yourself a place or a whole team through the portal.
I am sure that some of you will be celebrating important dates in the annual calendar this weekend and this year sees an interesting confluence. Many a haggis will be piped in, addressed and slashed open on the same date as parties to welcome in the Year of the Rat for Chinese New Year. I wonder if there will be any pick’n’mix hybrid gatherings out there? Whatever you’re up to, enjoy the weekend.
