Full Boarding

Boarding is an important part of life at King’s Hall with a variety of options to suit all pupils, and parents. There is a strong family ethos within the Boarding House at King’s Hall which ensures that our full-time boarders are fully supported throughout their time with us. Full boarding is a popular choice with many parents recognising the benefits, be it due to busy work lives, military links or simply because full boarding helps children to become considerate and independent individuals, within a supportive environment.

Our full-time boarders are able to take advantage of our beautiful setting, with plenty of opportunities to visit the woods, home to barbecues, tree climbing, scavenger hunts and marshmallow toasting, not to mention caring for the resident menagerie of chickens and rabbits! Our outdoor swimming pool also offers a wonderful extension to the boarding experience. As well and the fabulous range of ‘in-house’ activities, full boarders are taken on a great selection of trips to places such as Crealy, Hestercombe House and the Theatre. Our boarders have also been quad biking, fishing and ‘zorbing’, to name but a few! Every care is taken to make sure that boarders are supported in every aspect of school life, and –of course- have plenty of time for fun!

You can read more about life as a full-time boarder in the boarding blog and the termly boarding newsletters.
