This has been a pretty ‘normal’ week for me … having said that, I did have the chance to visit Lord’s on Wednesday evening where I had a tour of the pavilion and changing rooms before a lovely dinner at which Jos Buttler answered a few questions from the floor. For those of you into cricket (and if you are a long-time supporter of Somerset) you probably wouldn’t be surprised by which name appears most frequently across the England batting and bowling Honours boards for Test performances at Lord’s – answers on a postcard please!
The Friends of King’s Hall are at it again – following the excellent Quiz Night before half term, there is the now traditional Easter Egg hunt coming up – there is more information about this in the Newsletter. A gentle family stroll around Ramscombe Great Wood seeking eggs followed by a burger (and there will be a beer this year!) proved to be very popular option last year - just let the school office know if you would like to come along.
We are now into the last quarter of this term and there is still plenty to be going on with: for example – good luck to all those preparing for the Taunton Drama Festival next week.
There is still time, children, to prepare something to show how much you love and appreciate your wonderful mothers – yes, it is Mothering Sunday in a couple of days so get cracking!
