Day Structure
8.00-8.30 Optional Early Morning Club – see section on extended hours
8.30-8.40 Children settle into the classroom and registers are taken.
8.40 -9.00 Letters and Sounds – to promote reading and spelling
9.00-9.20 Assembly
9.20-10.20 Learning session – children doing Literacy, Numeracy, Montessori activities or Topic work.
10.20-10.30 Snack time – children will be offered a choice of fruit and a drink.
10.30-11.00 Playtime – outside on the fields, in the woods or on the playground
11.00-12.00 Learning session – as before
12.00-12.30 Lunch – children walk over to the Dining Room where they will enjoy a hot, freshly cooked meal.
12.30–1.00 Quiet time for looking at books and reading stories
1.00-1.30 Playtime – as before
1.30-3.00 Learning session – Music, Science, History ,Geography, PE, ICT etc., play activities
3.00-3.15 Storytime
3.15–4.00 Optional hobbies and supervision or time to go home – see section on extended hours
4.00-5.20 Optional TT club – see section on extended hours
One day during the week each Year group will also go out for a Forest School Day.
