Here at King’s Hall, children receive the best education to help them succeed in academic life and to prepare them for senior school. Whilst this is, of course, important, we also believe that a child’s learning goes beyond the classroom and that children benefit from the development of their own specific interests and skills. To supplement such growth, we offer and a wide range of co-curricular activities led by our enthusiastic staff, who have a genuine interest in the activities offered here at King’s Hall.
Hobbies are offered both after school and at weekends. Children have the opportunity to make the most of our own fantastic facilities as well as those at King’s College, and for activities such as mountain biking and hill walking; they are also able to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside.
King's Hall School offers a vast and varied array of sport and activities, from hockey to abseiling, rugby to sailing and tennis to mountain biking. Importantly, great emphasis is put on ensuring that our pupils enjoy a healthy outdoor life to balance with the academic and creative areas of the school curriculum.
The aim of our activities is to allow each and every pupil to find their niche, widen their interest and to promote self-confidence and self-belief.
Learning Inside and Outside the Classroom
At King’s Hall our vision is to enable every young person to experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of their learning and personal development.
Through learning opportunities outside the classroom, we aim to raise achievement and create aspirations through an organised, powerful approach to learning in which direct experience is of prime importance. This is not only about what we learn but importantly how and where we learn and what development takes place.
We want the children in our care to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution to a group and to develop aspirations that will lead to achieving future well-being whilst having fun.
