Another Successful Year for Chinese Tutoring
We have recently taken the time to reflect on the many successes of the academic year.
At King’s Hall, this included our Chinese tutoring programme, which has been successfully running for two years.
The interactive weekly sessions have involved a Zoom meeting with Chinese tutor, Jining, who is based in Beijing. Over the past year, the pupils have been learning about colours, clothes, numbers, and the days of the week, as well as Chinese culture and traditions.
This year, a real highlight for the pupils was being given a virtual tour of Beijing, where they discovered how cold it was in the winter, despite it being 37 degrees currently.
We are pleased to announce that our Chinese tutoring will be continuing in September 2018 for pupils in Years 5-8. These lessons will take place during one of our weekly assemblies.
We will be going back to the basics for the Michaelmas Term, so if your child is interested in joining us, this would be the perfect time to do so! There will be a small charge of around £30 per term to cover costs, and a sign-up letter will be coming out at the beginning of term if you wish to take part.
