Attend an Open Day
King's Hall holds Open Days in April/May and October. Our next Open Day is taking place on Friday 20 March 2020.

Book an Individual Visit
We offer individual school tours during term time and holidays. Your visit will include a tour of the school and you will also have the opportunity to meet our Headmaster, Justin Chippendale. If you are visiting our Pre-Prep, you will be welcomed and shown around by our Head of Pre-Prep, Claire Luckhurst. Children are most welcome to attend. A visit to our senior school, King’s College, can also be arranged if you would like your child to transfer there at the end of Year 8.

Step 3 Taster Days
Children have the opportunity to attend a Taster Day. They will be ‘buddied’ with a child in their year group with whom they will spend the day in lessons and at break times to ensure they can get the most from their taste of life at King’s Hall. Sleepovers are also available for children interested in boarding.

Step 4 Register for a place
Register for a place
All enquiries regarding admission to King's Hall School, should be made to our Director of Admissions, Mrs Kate Rippin, who will be very pleased to arrange an appointment.
The registration form should be completed and returned, together with a non-refundable registration fee of £100 to the Director of Admissions, King’s Hall School, Taunton, Somerset TA2 8AA. Payment can be made by bank transfer (bank account details are on the registration form) or cheque (payable to King's Schools). A receipt will be sent confirming the registration. Step 5 Assessment
All pupils joining King's Hall are required to sit maths, English and verbal reasoning (VR) assessments. It is not possible to prepare for the VR. It will take an hour to complete.
Once we have received a copy of your child’s school report and references as appropriate, we will contact you to arrange for your child to attend one of our assessment days.
The offer of a place will be sent out the week following the entrance assessment days. For scholarship candidates, this will be up to two weeks after the assessments.

Step 6 Confirmation of Place
Confirmation of Place
Before entry parents will be sent a parents’ handbook and a welcome letter from the Headmaster detailing their child’s class and form tutor. For families in the Prep department, there is a meeting on the Sunday before the start of the new academic year at which parents will meet their child’s form tutor and other new parents.
