I have had a couple of conversations with children this week about some thought-provoking subjects and we only just touched the surface in our discussions: how important/essential is the internet and which way would you vote over air strikes in Syria if you were an MP? There is always a balance between savouring the simplicity and directness of a child’s view (as so often they’re correct) and the need to lead them into deeper (usually murkier) waters surrounding the wider implications of such complex issues.
As I write this, the school is undergoing its annual transmogrification as the very popular Rural Living Show ‘comes to town’. The RLS teams will be beavering away to be ready for the weekend influx and if you are coming along I might see you as you drift around the stalls.
