Earlier this month, the King’s Hall community gathered to celebrate the achievements of Year 8 at their annual Summer Fête.

On a warm Tuesday afternoon, the school grounds were abuzz with joy and laughter as pupils, parents and members of staff took time out from their busy schedules to enjoy a well-deserved afternoon of activities.

This year saw the children run a number of stands, including a face painting station, confectionary stall and high jump.

Well done to all for not only planning and organising the event, but for also creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Through the pupils’ hard work and determination, they raised a fantastic £1200 for Cancer Research UK and a further £60 for the Toilet Twinning charity.

Following the successful Summer Fête, Year 8 continued their celebrations at the annual Leavers’ BBQ. A combination of delicious food and great company made for a memorable evening, and with the added bonus of the traditional tug-of-war competition, it was certainly an unforgettable one.
