Nursery’s Grand Day Out
The children in Nursery were lucky to experience a spot of rare dry and sunny weather last week when they visited Puxton Park for a fun day out.
Without the inconvenience of wind and rain, the children could enjoy some time exploring the adventure park and its rural surroundings. The group particularly enjoyed visiting the Animal Zone, which was home to a discovery barn and a whole host of cuddly creatures. The children loved petting time and were overjoyed at being able to hold the guinea pigs and rabbits.
Following their whistle-stop tour of the discovery barn, they made their way to the falconry where they witnessed a fantastic bird display. It was a spectacule for the eyes, and the pupils even got to meet a VIP raven (apparently, he made his acting debut in Game of Thrones).
After a very bumpy tractor ride around the dairy farm, and a few slices of birthday cake, the children decided that it was time to venture to the soft play area. Here they blew off some steam, racing down slides and meandering through mouse tunnels, before hopping back on the minibus for the journey home.
Our Nursery pupils really are lucky to visit so many wonderful places as part of the curriculum. Every Friday, like clockwork, they jump aboard the bus ready for an awesome day out. This could be to the local park, the sprawling gardens of nearby Hestercombe, or even somewhere more adventurous like Pennywell Farm or Crealy Adventure Park.
