Leading Children’s Author Tracey Corderoy Visits King’s Hall

Last week, Pre-Prep pupils at King’s Hall were treated to a visit from leading picture book author, Tracey Corderoy. Tracey is the author of over 70 books for children and is perhaps best known for her charming Shifty McGifty series.

Our children were delighted to be joined by local nurseries The Beehive Day Nursery, Brambles Day Nursery and Tops Nursery (Musgrove) for this special event.

You could have heard a pin drop as the children listened to Tracey’s skillful storytelling, completely engaged in the characters’ adventures. There were smiles all round as she brought her stories to life through a mixture of games, drawing activities and arts and crafts.

Librarian, Emily Marcuccilli said: “Meeting an author is always a very special occasion for young children, sparking their imagination and inspiring them in their own exploration of fiction. We are extremely grateful to Tracey for coming to visit us. What a wonderful celebration it was!”
