Easter Begins at Woodland Adventure Camp

When the school closes for Easter, the real fun begins! That’s because our sprawling school grounds transform into a giant playground as part of our Woodland Adventure Camp.

We offer holiday care for six weeks in the summer, two weeks over Easter, and one week over Christmas, plus a week during the October half term. All children aged between 3 and 13 are welcome to join in the fun, including those who do not attend King’s Hall, but are looking for an exciting getaway.

Woodland Adventures is a holiday club with a difference. There is a digital technology policy (this includes TVs and computers), where children are encouraged to enjoy the fresh air, spend time with friends, and take part in a range of interactive activities, all within the comforts of our expansive site.

At Woodland Adventures there are no limits – it’s all about having fun! The children get stuck in and spend their days making, creating, climbing, painting, building, and of course getting muddy!

Each holiday there are seasonally appropriate activities to give each day a focus, and to build excitement for the forthcoming holidays. This Easter, the children have been learning the basics of cooking in our 'Mud Kitchen', creating woodland art with sticks and surrounding foliage, as well as welcoming the more seasonal tasks of Easter egg decorating (and eating!), all under the watchful eye of two new assistants. Sixth form pupils, Isaac and Charlie from King's College, have been involved in planning and delivering a number of sessions with staff at King's Hall as part of their DofE Gold Award.

When the sun arrives in time for our summer camps, the children can also take a dip in our outdoor swimming pool whilst enjoying a healthy dose of Vitamin C, and in October, the ghouls come out to play and the children embrace their messy side for a week of Halloween-themed activities. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas camp without a large slice of mince pie and cup of hot cocoa.
